Guide Dylan brings a deep conservation and indigenous knowledge ethos to every walk. Alongside running guided trails, he actively works on indigenous rewilding — removing alien vegetation and restoring fynbos to its natural state. A coastal journey through lush vegetation fed by natural springs. Discover edible and medicinal plants, quartzitic sandstone formations, intertidal zones rich with marine life, and shell middens tracing human presence back thousands of years. Crystal-clear tidal pools invite swimming.
Beginning on a pristine white beach, passing 'The Pools' swimming spot and freshwater springs flowing from ancient dunes. The route enters the Agulhas hummock-blowout dune fields — a rare and sensitive ecosystem with archaeological sites dating back over 12,000 years to the Holocene era.
Old fishermen's pathways through limestone fynbos, tracing sandstone and limestone cliffs with panoramic views of the untamed southern coastline. Ancient stone fish traps still in use today. Pass Waenhuiskrans Cave and spot seasonal whales and dolphins offshore.
